Meet Pete

As a CERTIFIED FINANICAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional, Peter Falstad’s mission is to assist people in making their financial dreams a reality through personal and customized planning.  Pete is recognized as a leading financial advisor in Central Illinois, working with a wide range of individuals and business owners since 1988 to help create robust financial plans.  These plans have lead to achieving clients’ life goals.

 On a personal level, Pete is a long-time member of Rotary International and is an Eagle Scout.  Much of his non-work hours involve swimming.  Pete often referees USA Swim meets on weekends and he recently accepted the Head Coach position for the first ever Cornerstone Christian Academy high school girls swim team (2022-2023 school year).  Pete trains with the Central Illinois Masters Swim Team where he loves competing in open water and indoor events.

Pete has been a part of the Bloomington-Normal community since 1983.  He graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and lives in town with his wife, MaryEllen, and their two daughters, Sasha and Dasha.  In addition to swimming, Pete enjoys family time, biking, working with stained glass, cooking, reading, and travel.
