Peter Falstad, CFP®

Biography

As a CERTIFIED FINANICAL PLANNER™ Professional, Peter’s mission is to assist people in making their financial dreams a reality through personal and customized planning. Walking through life with his clients energizes him and has led to his success as a leading financial advisor in Central Illinois.

Pete has been a part of the Bloomington-Normal community since 1983. He graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and went on to establish Falstad & Associates Financial Services in 1988. 

Since then, Pete has enjoyed working with individuals from all walks of life - from brand new investors to farmers, business owners, and high net worth entities. He has also been one of Dave Ramsey's SmartVestor Pros for roughly a decade which has led to some wonderful client partnerships.

On a personal level, Pete lives in town with his wife, MaryEllen, and their two daughters, Sasha and Dasha. He is a long-time member of Rotary International and an Eagle Scout. He enjoys training and competing with the Central Illinois Masters Swim Team and referees USA Swim meets. In addition to swimming, Pete likes to bike, golf, work with stained glass, cook, read, and travel.
