Biography

Nathaniel (Nate) is a Central Illinois native and graduated from Illinois State University in 2014, double majoring in Finance and Insurance.  He brings with him 13+ years of experience in financial services and has passed his Series 7 and 66 securities license exams in addition to the CERTIFIED FINANICAL PLANNER™ licensing exam, making him the third CFP® in our office.



A former client, Nate appreciated the relationship-centered financial planning approach at Falstad & Associates. After joining the team in 2024, he enjoys sharing that same compassion and congeniality with the clients he now assists in developing their financial plans.

Nate married his high school sweetheart, Katie, and settled down in Bloomington where they enjoy raising their son, Weston. As a former athlete himself, Nate enjoys playing and watching sports when he is not chasing Wes. The Farney Family stays active outdoors, in their church, and cheer on opposing baseball teams.
